Building Capacity for Digitally Transformed Journalism

CMR Nepal Journalism Academy is a joint initiative of the Center for Media Research – Nepal (CMR-Nepal) and Interlink Academy for International Dialog and Journalism, Hamburg, Germany to establish a leading journalism training school to build capacity of mid-career journalists for digitally transformed journalism.

Why are we unique?

We are a team of professional journalists and media experts who value inclusiveness, transparency, and collaboration working to uplift quality of journalism, innovation within media and adaptation of emerging models for viability by providing state of the art training to journalists, and media managers on competencies for digital transformation of journalism.

We are in the unique position because we are pacesetters of digital journalism, and we adapt contemporary international best practices for Nepal’s media context.

Blended Learning

Our 6+6+6 Training Format

01

First Attendance Phase

Six days of face-to-face intensive learning at the CMR Nepal Journalism Academy’s classroom in Kathmandu. Classes will run from 9AM to 5PM.

02

eLearning Phase

Six weeks of eLearning (between 4 to 8 hours every week) while in the trainee’s own newsroom.

03

Second Attendance Phase

Six days of face-to-face intensive learning at the CMR Nepal Journalism Academy’s classroom in Kathmandu. Classes will run from 9AM to 5PM.
